Transient transition behaviors of fractional-order simplest chaotic circuit with bi-stable locally-active memristor and its ARM-based implementation

This paper proposes a fractional-order simplest chaotic system using a bi-stable locally-active memristor. The characteristics of the memristor and transient transition behaviors of the proposed system are analyzed, and this circuit is implemented digitally using ARM-based MCU. Firstly, the mathematical model of the memristor is designed, which is nonvolatile, locally-active and bi-stable. Secondly, the asymptotical stability of the fractional-order memristive chaotic system is investigated and some sufficient conditions of the stability are obtained. Thirdly, complex dynamics of the novel system are analyzed using phase diagram, Lyapunov exponential spectrum, bifurcation diagram, basin of attractor, and coexisting bifurcation, coexisting attractors are observed. All of these results indicate that this simple system contains the abundant dynamic characteristics. Moreover, transient transition behaviors of the system are analyzed, and it is found that the behaviors of transient chaotic and transient period transition alternately occur. Finally, the hardware implementation of the fractional-order bi-stable locally-active memristive chaotic system using ARM-based STM32F750 is carried out to verify the numerical simulation results.     

Addendum to “On the Riesz potential operator of variable order from variable exponent Morrey space to variable exponent Campanato space”, Math Meth Appl Sci. 2020; 1–8

In the paper mentioned in the title, it is proved the boundedness of the Riesz potential operator of variable order α(x) from variable exponent Morrey space to variable exponent Campanato space, under certain assumptions on the variable exponents p(x) and λ(x) of the Morrey space. Assumptions on the exponents were different depending on whether $\frac{\alpha (x)p(x)?n+\lambda (x)}{p(x)}$ takes or not the critical values 0 or 1. In this note, we improve those results by unifying all the cases and covering the whole range $0?\frac{\alpha (x)p(x)?n+\lambda (x)}{p(x)}?1$. We also provide a correction to some minor technicality in the proof of Theorem 2 in the aforementioned paper.     

Hyperparameter on-line learning of stochastic resonance based threshold networks

Aiming at training the feed-forward threshold neural network consisting of nondifferentiable activation functions, the approach of noise injection forms a stochastic resonance based threshold network that can be optimized by various gradient-based optimizers. The introduction of injected noise extends the noise level into the parameter space of the designed threshold network, but leads to a highly non-convex optimization landscape of the loss function. Thus, the hyperparameter on-line learning procedure with respective to network weights and noise levels becomes of challenge. It is shown that the Adam optimizer, as an adaptive variant of stochastic gradient descent, manifests its superior learning ability in training the stochastic resonance based threshold network effectively. Experimental results demonstrate the significant improvement of performance of the designed threshold network trained by the Adam optimizer for function approximation and image classification.     

基于毛竹叶片理化参数的刚竹毒蛾危害检测研究

虫害检测算法研究是开展虫害快速、准确监测，制定精准森防检疫措施的重要基础。以毛竹叶片为研究尺度，基于刚竹毒蛾危害下的寄主外部形态与内部生理现象总结，选择并实测叶损量LL、相对叶绿素含量RCC、相对含水量RWC、原始光谱的733.66~898.56 nm值(ρ_{733.66~898.56})、一阶微分光谱的562.95~585.25 nm值(ρ′_{562.95~585.25})与706.18~725.41 nm值(ρ′_{706.18~725.41})等理化参数，随机划分实验组(63组)和验证组(37组)并设计5次重复实验；分别运用Fisher判别分析、BP神经网络、随机森林等三种方法建立刚竹毒蛾危害等级的检测模型，从检测精度、Kappa系数及R2等指标对模型的检测效果予以分析和比较。结果显示，Fisher判别分析、BP神经网络、随机森林的检测精度分别为69.19%，65.41%，83.78%，Kappa系数分别为0.576 9，0.532 4和0.778 8，R2分别为0.722 2，0.582 6和0.870 9，总体而言，三种方法均具备刚竹毒蛾危害的检测能力，随机森林的检测效果最优，Fisher判别分析次之，再次为BP神经网络；从分等级来看，随机森林的检测精度亦优于Fisher判别分析与BP神经网络，但3种方法对中度危害等级的检测精度均有所不足。该成果可为刚竹毒蛾危害及其他病虫害检测算法的选择提供参考，并为进一步建立冠层、遥感影像像元等尺度的虫害检测模型奠定基础。     

Synthesis of boronic acid‐functionalized poly(glycerol‐oligoγ‐butyrolactone): Nano‐networks for efficient electrochemical sensing of biosystems

Despite the outstanding properties of hyperbranched polyglycerols such as biocompatibility and multifunctionality, enough attention has not been paid to the synthesis of their functional copolymers. This problem has limited the structural diversity of hyperbranched polyglycerols and hampers further developments and their practical usage. In this work, butyrolactone segments were incorporated into the backbone of polyglycerols by one‐pot ring‐opening copolymerization of a mixture of glycidol and γ‐butyrolactone in the presence of tin(II) 2‐ethylhexanoate. Poly(glycerol‐oligoγ‐butyrolactone)s were then crosslinked by 2,5‐thiophenediylbisboronic acid to obtain polymeric nanonetworks with 140 nm average size. Afterwards, the gold electrode was modified by the polymeric nano‐networks, and it was used for the determination of glucose, glycated hemoglobin, and Escherichia coli in phosphate buffer solution (pH = 9.0) through cyclic voltammetry and impedance spectroscopic. Taking advantage of the straightforward synthesis, cheap precursors and multifunctionality of poly(glycerol‐oligoγ‐butyrolactone)s, they could be used for real‐time sensing of a wide range of biosystems. © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Local discontinuous Galerkin method for a nonlocal viscous conservation laws

The purpose of this article is to investigate high‐order numerical approximations of scalar conservation laws with nonlocal viscous term. The viscous term is given in the form of convolution in space variable. With the help of the characteristic of viscous term, we design a semidiscrete local discontinuous Galerkin (LDG) method to solve the nonlocal model. We prove stability and convergence of semidiscrete LDG method in L² norm. The theoretical analysis reveals that the present numerical scheme is stable with optimal convergence order for the linear case, and it is stable with sub‐optimal convergence order for nonlinear case. To demonstrate the validity and accuracy of our scheme, we test the Burgers equation with two typical nonlocal fractional viscous terms. The numerical results show the convergence order accuracy in space for both linear and nonlinear cases. Some numerical simulations are provided to show the robustness and effectiveness of the present numerical scheme.     

Generalized Jacobi spectral Galerkin method for fractional pantograph differential equation

This work is concerned with the extension of the Jacobi spectral Galerkin method to a class of nonlinear fractional pantograph differential equations. First, the fractional differential equation is converted to a nonlinear Volterra integral equation with weakly singular kernel. Second, we analyze the existence and uniqueness of solutions for the obtained integral equation. Then, the Galerkin method is used for solving the equivalent integral equation. The error estimates for the proposed method are also investigated. Finally, illustrative examples are presented to confirm our theoretical analysis.
